Curtis Anthony Pellegrin, 77, of Benton, Arkansas passed away December 29, 2022. He was born February 5, 1945, in Houma, Louisiana to the late Eddie Joseph Pellegrin, Sr. and Adele (Dupre) Pellegrin.
Curtis loved to stay active and was always on the go. He enjoyed dancing, cycling, fishing and snow skiing. His children and grandchildren were his passion. He was often found outside playing football and basketball with the kids, laughing, and having a wonderful time. Curtis enjoyed traveling in their RV, annual trips to Oregon in the summer, and spending time outdoors. He was happy go lucky, optimistic, jovial, and an occasional jokester. Curtis was one of a kind.
Preceding Curtis in death are his parents; brother, Herman Pellegrin, Sr.; sister, Phyllis P. Picou and her husband Jesse; and sister-in-law, Becky Pellegrin.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving companion of twelve years, Paula Ireland of Benton, Arkansas; children, David Pellegrin (Dixie) of Euless, Texas, Claire Dufrene (Chad) of Marrero, Louisiana and Mary Wagner (Brian) of Slidell, Louisiana, and bonus daughter Heather Hinz (Bill) of Eugene, OR.; grandchildren: Eric Abadie (Caitlin), Rachel Dufrene, Devan Bertaut (Shelbey), Jeremy Bertaut, Dylan Pellegrin, Drew Pellegrin, Eisley Hinz, and Coen Hinz; great-grandchildren: Brandt, Houston, and Jules Abadie, and Isla Bertaut. He also leaves behind his siblings: Eddie Pellegrin, Jr. (Sue), Berthile P. LeBoeuf (Milton), and Shirleen P. Conrad (Bruce); sister-in-law, Olynda Pellegrin LeBoeuf; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who love Curtis and will miss him always.
Memorial service, officiated by Rev. Keith Dodson, will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church of Benton Missions Committee, 200 N. Market, Benton, Arkansas.
