Curtis W Penley

Curtis Penley, 89, passed away on November 28, 2025.

He is survived by his two children and their families: Katherine Penley Jenkins of Louisa, Virginia, and Curtis William Penley Jr. of Woodbridge, Virginia.

Although Curtis held many jobs throughout his life, his primary career was with the Government Printing Office. There, he worked as a supervisor for over 20 years.

He deeply loved car racing, was an avid NASCAR fan, and even raced cars himself. A true Ford aficionado, he particularly enjoyed classic Mustangs as well as F-150 trucks. Later in life, he enjoyed taking cruises to sunny destinations and spending time exploring the beautiful area around West Palm Beach.

Curtis also spent much of his time outdoors, caring for his vegetable garden and fruit trees.

He eventually moved to Virginia to be closer to his children, and while he missed Florida-especially the warm weather and familiar surroundings-he truly enjoyed the opportunity to be closer to his family.

He will be laid to rest with his parents in the Washington National Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland, at a date to be determined.
