Benson, NC: Mr. Curtis Ray Bain, age 72, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM, Monday, October 13, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Doug Abel will officiate.
Mr. Bain was born on July 12, 1953, in Harnett County, NC, to the late George Washington Bain, Jr., and Mattie Grace Cook Bain. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Debbie Barefoot Bain, sister, Becky Bain Evans, and a brother, C.L. Bain. Ray retired from Asplundh Tree Company with 40 years of service. For those that knew him, knew he loved spending time at the beach, fishing, and enjoyed time with family and friends. Ray was well known for helping anyone, and was a jack of all trades. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Surviving include his wife of 11 years, Deborah McLamb Bain; children, Jon Ray and wife, Christy of Clayton, and Jessica Ray of Benson, NC; grandchildren, Ethan Holmes, Dylan Coats, Makayla Coats (Johnny) and Samantha Johnson (Matt) ; great-grandchildren, Parker Jean Bannister, and expecting baby girl Johnson in May 2026; brother, Randy Bain of Erwin, NC; special niece and nephew, Tonya Norris (Roy) and Stacy Evans (Donna); sister-in-law, Phyllis Barefoot; special pet, Charlie; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers and will receive friends on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Pruitt Hospice with special thanks to Karen, Yolanda, and Waynell.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Pruitt Heath 2850 Village Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
