Curtis (Bud) Revard, 73, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on August 24, 2024. He entered this world on September 13, 1950, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, born to Russell N. Jones and Sena M. King Jones.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, in the First Baptist Church Chapel with Pastor Chris Short officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with family in attendance from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to receive friends and relatives. Services are in care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK.
Curtis lived in Pawhuska until 1955 when he moved with his family to Ponca City, and he attended the Ponca City schools graduating from PO HI in 1968. In August of 1968 Curtis joined the United States Marine Corps, at the age of 17. He served Three years with a tour in Vietnam, and he was honorable discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Upon returning to Ponca City, he went to work for the Ponca City Park Department until joining the Ponca City Fire Department in 1973, where he retired as Captain after serving 25 years, He also worked for the Kay County Sheriff’s office as a detention officer for several years. Curtis enjoyed hunting, camping and playing pool. He was also a lifetime member of the DAV, VFW and Vietnam Veterans of America
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children; Joe Conner and wife Sheena, Cody Revard and wife Bayli, KW Heller and wife Lisa, Audra Mayse and husband John and their mother Mary Revard all of Ponca City, OK. one brother, Larry Jones of Idaho and one sister, Joyce Bentham of Ponca City, OK.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers.
