Curtis Edward Smith, affectionately called Billy, passed unexpectantly in Beckley, WV at the age of 67.He was born in Ronceverte, WV on September 23, 1957, to Robert Smith and Geraldine Mosley, the youngest of two children. He was blessed with a daughter, Sierra Shelor. During his middle school years, Billy dabbled a little in football but that wasn’t his favorite sport! He graduated from Greenbrier East High School where he was one of White Sulphur Spring’s Basketball stars! He went on to receive his Bachelor of Education (BA) degree from Glenville State University. His career began as a teacher at Greenbrier East and later became the basketball coach, where he played as a student ~ how great is that! He enlisted in the military, an Officer in the United States Air Force. Billy has reunited with his deceased family: mother and stepfather, Geraldine and Frank Mosley; father, Robert Smith; sister and brother-inlaw, Debra Smith-Ligons and Harry Ligons; grandmother, Mattie Sanders; grandfather, Robert Sanders; uncles and aunts, Clyde (Bessie) Sanders and Billy (Virginia) Sanders. He leaves to forever cherish his memory, daughter, Sierra Shelor, stepbrother, Anthony Mosley; grandsons, Kendrick and Kash Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
