Custis Carter Wright

WRIGHT, Custis Carter, 95, of Lakewood Retirement Community, died Sunday, November 30, 2008. She was a native of Amherst County, Va. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Tyree Lawson "Bud" Wright of Richmond; her two daughters, Betsy Shires of Richmond and Susan W. Faulconer and husband, Mark of Madison Heights; and three grandchildren, Emily Lawson and husband, James Williams of Atlanta, Charles and William Cash of Madison Heights. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Custis Wright was a graduate of Randolph Macon Women's College with a B.S. in Chemistry. She taught in the Amherst County schools and was a chemist for American Cyanamid Co. in Piney River, Va. Memorial service will be held at Ascension Episcopal Church, 253 S. Main St., Amherst, Va. 24521-0810 at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ascension Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 810, Amherst, Va. 24521-0810 or a charity of your choice.
