Cydni Cherie Smith, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her hometown of Cleveland, Oh, on October 4, 2025, at the age of 40. Born on January 3, 1985, in Cleveland, Cydni's radiant sprit and generous heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Cydni attended East High School, where she was known for her infectious smile and quick wit. She went on to further her education at Remington College, where she pursued her passion for helping others by entering the healthcare field. She dedicated her career to serving as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) and later as a Medical Assistant. Cydni's colleagues will remember her as a compassionate and skilled professional who brought comfort and care to many patients. Family was the cornerstone of Cydni's life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her devoted mother Pamela Smith; her long-time companion, Patrick Minefee Sr., with whom she shared many cherished moments; her beloved sons, Patrick Minefee Jr. and Pierre Minefee, her granddaughter Paisley Minefee, and her dog, Sweetie, who were all the light of her life; her brother Justin Smith, who stood by her side through thick and thin, her best friend LaTasha; Goddaughter Zaria, sister/cousin Michelle, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Cydni's role as a mother, daughter, partner, sister, and a true friend was imbued with generosity and boundless affection, and her guidance and support were unwavering. Cydni's zest for life was evident in her many interests. She relished in spending time with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Watching movies, and exploring YouTube with the boys brought her immense joy, and did listening to the latest music. An adventurous soul Cydni loved traveling, and had a special fondness for the tranquility of the beach, where she found solace in the rhythm of the waves. Described by those who knew her as loving, generous and funny, Cydni's sense of humor was a gift that was contagious, and her ability to find humor in everyday situations brought lightness to even the most challenging days. Cydni's generosity extended beyond her immediate circle, as she often reached out to help others in her community, embodying the true spirit of giving. As we bid farewell to Cydni, we celebrate a life lived with passion and purpose. Her love for her family, her dedication to her work, and her joyful approach to life and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Cydni's legacy will continue to inspire and influence for generations to come, as her love story is far from over-it's simply transformed into the countless lives she touched. Cydni's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her sprit will forever be a guiding light for her family and friends. Her laughter will echo in their hearts, her strength will be their foundation, and her love will be their comfort. Cydni's life was beautiful journey that enriched the world, and she will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
