Cynthia Beth Stastny Abbruzzi, aged 68, of Dublin, OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 19, 1956, in Akron, OH, to Martha Stastny Wexler and the late Dr. Richard Stastny.

On September 2nd, 1982, Cindy married the love of her life, Robert J. Abbruzzi, beginning a journey of shared love and cherished memories. She was a proud graduate of Malabar High School in Mansfield, OH. Cindy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from The Ohio State University before pursuing her passion for healthcare with a Nursing degree from Columbus State Community College, where she graduated Cum Laude. Cindy pursued a meaningful career as a hematology oncology nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH, dedicating herself to her work until her retirement in 2002. After retiring, Cindy worked at Advanced Development Inc., where she focused on estimating projects and managing commercial leases and contracts.

Cindy's life was centered around family, and her greatest joy came from spending time with her sons, grandchildren, and loved ones. She loved spending time outdoors, whether it was annual houseboat adventures on Lake Cumberland, trips to visit family in Florida and New Jersey, vacations to the Caribbean Islands, or unforgettable ski trips out west with her husband and sons. By the water or on the slopes, Cindy cherished every moment spent with those she held close.

She was passionate about her hobbies, finding joy in gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting, and creating beautiful jewelry that reflected her creativity and love of crafting. She also loved cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes, proudly watching every OSU football game.

Cindy was the kind of mom everyone admired. She was smart, confident, the life of every party, and the ultimate hockey mom. She trusted her sons, fostering an environment of mutual respect and unconditional support, which brought joy not only to her family but also to the many friends who felt at home in her warm and welcoming presence. Cindy had a special way of making every holiday feel magical, but Christmas and the 4th of July were truly unforgettable for her grandchildren, thanks to her warmth, creativity, and the love she poured into every celebration. Her generosity made everyone who knew her feel truly welcome and loved.

Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, Robert J. Abbruzzi; her sons, Christopher Abbruzzi and his wife Kristin, and Randall Abbruzzi, both of Columbus, OH; her cherished grandchildren, Gabriella, Lydia, and Joseph Abbruzzi, and Maeve Byers; her loving mother, Martha Stastny Wexler, and stepfather, Robert Wexler, of Haines City, FL; and her brothers, Dr. Randall Stastny of Cincinnati, OH, Rodney Stastny of Cleveland, OH, and Robert Stastny of Tampa, FL.

Cindy’s infectious laughter and beautiful smile brightened every room she entered, and her positive outlook on life inspired everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and love.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Foundation in Cindy's memory would be appreciated.

A service in Cindy's honor will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1581 Cambridge Blvd, Columbus, OH 43212, at 10 AM on Saturday, April 12.
