Cynthia C (Anderson) Modeste, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and servant of the Lord, now resides in heaven at the righthand of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

God called her home after 81 years of service, 57 years of marriage and motherhood, and 30 years of evangelism in partnership with her beloved husband, Robert Modeste.

Cynthia was born on July 16, 1944, in Valencia, Trinidad to Fabiana and Wilfred Anderson (both deceased). She grew up in Sobo and attended La Brea Roman Catholic School. After marriage, she accompanied her husband to St. Croix and then to the US where they resided in New York, Michigan and Indiana.

Cynthia’s greatest joys were her family and her faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love and care for others, principles and standards to live by and unwavering service to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a multitalented woman who was an entrepreneur at heart. She owned and operated a nursery school and, later in life, co-founded and operated successful businesses with Robert in the automotive industry. Cynthia also worked in international banking and in accounting in retail businesses.

Cynthia, at Robert’s side in ministry, was an Evangelist and did mighty works in the name of Jesus Christ. She and Robert travelled the world teaching and preaching the Word of God. She also organized choirs both in the US and abroad for Benny Hinn Ministries.

These accomplishments pale in comparison to where she made here greatest mark on the world – through her family – Cynthia poured all her love, teaching and support into her family. She put her family first in all she did. People who had the privilege of knowing Cynthia were touched by her care, prayers and singing.

Cynthia is survived by her husband (Robert Modeste), her children (Sean Modeste and Roberta Duncan), her son-in-law (Eustace "Richard" Duncan), her grandchildren (Abra Barnett, Luric Duncan, Dahlia Duncan, and Donovan Duncan), her great grandson (Xavier Barnett Robinson), her siblings (Stephanie Regis, Monica Ford, Elizabeth Hamilton, Kent Anderson, McLean Anderson, and their spouses), her in-laws (Hamilton Modeste, Rennie Modeste, Norbert Modeste, Margo Williams, Isilda Anderson, Lorna Hunte, and their spouses) and her wonderful nieces, nephews, godchildren and spiritual children. She is reunited in heaven with her parents (Fabiana Lezama Anderson and Wilfred Anderson), her siblings (Kelvin Anderson, Clebert "Ossie" Lezama, Pearl "Pinky" Decoteau, and Peter "Kenrick" Anderson), and other dear family members.

Her family will be hosting a Celebration of Cynthia’s Life on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic (RC), La Brea, Trinidad at 11 am ET followed by a repass at the Sacred Heart RC Outreach Center. The Celebration will also be live-streamed. Contact the family directly or Elite Funeral Home Ltd (+1 868-648-3462, Point Fortin, Trinidad) for more information.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Cynthia Modeste to one of the ministries which she supported: Benny Hinn Ministries, Freedom Ministries (Pastor David Hogan), Deeper Life Ministries (Pastor Ross Collette); and/or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
