Cindy Angel Obituary
Cindy was born on October 4, 1963 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Olin Sutherland and Lenora Hullender Sutherland. She was a pharmacy tech for 25 years and worked for Mountain Street Pharmacy in Kings Mountain and most recently Medical Arts Pharmacy in Shelby. With her strong work ethic, she went to work many days during her sickness when she was not feeling her best. Cindy was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Cherryville where she served as church clerk, a Sunday school teacher and choir member. She along with her husband Mitch cleaned Waco Baptist Church for 30 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glenn and Margie Angel; a sister-in-law Kim Angel and a brother-in-law Bobby Rucker.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Mitch Angel of the home; a daughter, Candice Sneed and husband Chris of Lincolnton; a son Austin Angel of Shelby; a granddaughter, who was her pride and joy, Whitley Sneed; two sisters, Donna West and husband Bobby of Stanley and Lisa Rucker of Kings Mountain; a brother-in-law Thad Angel of Shelby. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
With heartfelt gratitude for your love and support, the family respectfully asks that all visits take place during the designated visitation times, as they will not be receiving guests at the home.
The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:45PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Waco Baptist Church.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Waco Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Dover officiating.
A private burial will be at Capernaum Cemetery in Waco.
Memorials may be made to Blessed Hope Baptist Church, PO Box 282 Cherryville, NC 28021.
