Cynthia Peters Beermann, 70 of West Union, Iowa passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Gundersen Palmer Hospital in West Union, Iowa from Multi System Atrophy. Cindy was born on December 6, 1952 to Gladys and William Peters in West Union. Cindy grew up in Brainard. She attended The Valley School System and graduated with the Class of 1971. After high school she attended Luther College.
She and her future husband Bryce met at the Fayette County Fair. The romance progressed and they were married in 1974. After college she worked for Heying Foods, Production Credit of Northeast Iowa, Job Training Partnership and Fayette County Farm Service Agency. She retired in 2019.
Cindy always enjoyed her nephews and nieces. Attending football, basketball and soccer games to watch them. She also loved to travel, visiting The Great Wall of China, The Colosseum, The Vatican, the Cathedral de Barcelona, and Disney World.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Bryce; her mother, Gladys Peters; her step mother, Alice Peters, and brother, Steven; along with two nephews and a niece. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law Roger, Ronald (Collette) Beermann.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Bill and a brother, Ron.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in West Union, Iowa.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at West Union United Methodist Church in West Union, Iowa with Rev. Rick Burns as the officiant.
Inurnment will be at West Union Cemetery, West union, Iowa.
Cards and memorials can be sent to Bryce Beermann in care of Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home.
Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of West Union, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
