Cynthia Campos Cardenas

Cynthia Campos Cardenas (January 5, 1970-October 9, 2025) passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family.

Cynthia Campos Cardenas was born on January 5th, 1970 to Guadalupe Rodriguez and Jesus V. Campos, in San Antonio, Texas. She was also raised by her beloved step father, David Rodriguez. Cynthia is survived by her loving husband –Michael Cardenas, her two sons–Michael Nicholas Cardenas and Samuel Gilbert Cardenas, her sister Anna Buentello and her spouse Robert Buentello, and her brother David Rodriguez. She is also survived by her siblings, Tamie De Luca and her spouse Giovanni De Luca, Alfred Campos, Catherine Campos, and Jesse Campos. She is also survived by her loving aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. She was a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Cynthia received her bachelor's degree in Sociology from Our Lady of the Lake University, her first master's degree was obtained in Education at Our Lady of the Lake University and her second master's degree was obtained in School Administration Leadership at Trinity University.

Cynthia was an early childhood teacher at Harlandale ISD, Judson ISD, and NE ISD. She also served as the Senior Director of Family Resources at the Good Samaritan Center and as the Executive Director at San Antonio Oasis.

Cynthia loved working with children, music, yoga, traveling, and reading books. She was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, spouse, and friend to many.
