Cynthia Ann Firtek

Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Firtek, 62, of Knowlton Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, in Newton, NJ.
Cindy was born to Harry and Mary Bogush and grew up in Bloomingdale, NJ. She was a devoted stay-at-home mom who volunteered at her children's schools for years. For the past ten years, she worked at First Hope Bank in Blairstown in the Accounting & Auditing Department where she was respected for her professionalism, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
Cindy embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She loved kayaking in Cape May, camping with her family at Keen Lake and Holly Shores, and spending time reading at the beach. She enjoyed dancing, attending live band performances, going to Broadway shows, and watching the NJ Devils.
She is survived by her loving children, Michelle and Brian Firtek; her mother, Mary Bogush; her brothers, Michael Bogush (Kristine), Paul Bogush (Margaret), and Gregory Bogush (Cynthia); her sister-in-law, Crystal Tintle (Phil); and her many cherished nieces and nephews.
Cindy was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Firtek, in 2008, whom she held close in her heart.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her love of music and the outdoors, and her devotion to her family. Her memory will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Friends and family may gather for a visitation on Monday, January 12, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, January 13, at 11AM at St. Jude's RC Church, Blairstown, NJ. Interment to follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery, Stroudsburg, PA.
