Cynthia Greene Obituary

Cynthia Greene

1963 - 2025

Cynthia Ann Greene, of Montgomery, TX, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, July 31, 2025, at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe. She was only 61 years old. The family is deeply saddened by her passing.

Cyndi was born October 1, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, and grew up in Sylvania, Ohio. She attended St. Joseph grade school in Sylvania, and graduated from Notre Dame Academy and attended the University of Cincinnati. She had the voice of an angel and participated in many plays and sang with several groups. She met Lowrey in Washington state and it was love at first sight, even though she turned down his two marriage proposals. She finally proposed to him after travelling home for her parents 25th anniversary and he accepted. They were married a week later. He was not letting her get away. A year later their son, Michael, was born in Bethesda, MD.

Cyndi worked as a pharmacy tech and then discovered her love of cooking and became a pastry chef. Her true calling was being a wife and mother. She dedicated herself to her family, happily going wherever her husband's career took them.

She enjoyed crafting, sewing, making quilts, and cooking. Cyndi also loved music and everything to do with it. She encouraged Mike in his musical endeavors as well. She also enjoyed travelling with her husband. Together they had visited 43 of the 50 states. She loved to sing in the car, and one of the first songs she listened to on each trip was "On the Road again" by Willie Nelson.

Cyndi is survived by her loving husband, Lowrey, of 37 years; her son, Michael; her mother, Judith Davenport, of Sylvania, Ohio; her sister, Debra (Grant) Misson, of Sylvania, Ohio; her brother, Steven (Deborah) Davenport, of Asheville, NC. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws who will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Gries Davenport; and her mother and father-in-law, Joan Braswell Greene and Albert Donald Greene.

There will be a Celebration of Cyndi's life on Sunday, August 17th, 2025, from 2 – 6 p.m., at the Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Dr., Montgomery, TX.

The family would like to greatly thank the physicians, nurses, and staff of HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe who cared for her during her recent illness.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
