Cynthia S. Hostert (nee Jurgens)
Age 73 of New Lenox, IL passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at NW Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, IL. Cindy was born in Ottawa, IL to the late Robert V. and Mary K. (nee Romine) Jurgens.
Beloved wife of David J. Hostert; loving mother of Megan (Marcus) Bucklin and Nicholas (Samantha) Hostert; cherished grandmother of Abraham Hostert and Francesca Hostert; dear sister of the late Vicki Jurgens, Pamela (Joe) Shanley, and Kevin (Audrean) Jurgens; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.
Cindy loved spending time with her three dogs, watching birds, sewing pillows for breast cancer survivors, reading a good book and doing daily crossword puzzles with her husband. She had a career in early childhood education and teaching piano students for two decades. Cindy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 4:00 pm until time of Memorial Service at 6:00 pm.
