Cynthia L. Israel (Babé), 77, of North Providence, passed away surrounded my family on April 25, 2024 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of Stan Israel. Born in Arlington, VA, she was a daughter of the late William and Natalie (Rossman) Babé.
Cynthia was a registered nurse at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital before retiring. In her spare time, she loved gardening, listening to music, singing, and taking care of her beloved dogs, who were like children to her. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Mimi” and “Grandma”.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Jon Israel and his wife Christina, Caitlin Pfanstiehl and her husband, Chris, three grandchildren, Selma and Alara Israel and Liam Pfanstiehl, her sister, Susan Thomson and four children, Billy, Michael, Kim and Ann.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 3rd 2024 from 3-7 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hotel for Homeless Dogs at https://newenglandhumanesociety.com/?form=thehotel
