Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Mark

Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Mark, 60, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville, MO. A Celebration of Life visitation was held Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.

Born on May 25, 1965, in Harrisonville, MO, Cindy was the daughter of Ronald E. and Sharon (Perkins) Schmidt. She spent her early years in Archie, MO, where she cultivated a love for life that would follow her throughout her journey. A proud graduate of Archie High School in 1983, she dedicated her heart to the care of others as a Licensed CMT and Nursing Assistant, serving at Adrian Manor and various care facilities until her retirement. Her kindness and gentle demeanor touched the lives of many she cared for.

Cindy was a true lover of life's simple joys, particularly her beloved dolphins. Her collection of dolphin-themed treasures was matched only by her enthusiasm for tracking her favorite dolphin through her unique bracelet. Every autumn, Cindy looked forward to Halloween, where her playful spirit and infectious enthusiasm would shine through, bringing smiles and warmth to those around her.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Schmidt. She is survived by her daughters: Cassi Heller of Lenexa, Kansas; and Nicole Mark of Archie, MO; her son, Joseph Mark of Archie, MO; her mother, Sharon Schmidt, of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Sherri Johnson, of Kansas City, MO; and six grandchildren. A loving mother and grandmother, devoted daughter, and cherished friend, Cindy will be remembered for her warm spirit and compassionate nature.
