Cynthia Dawn Morris

Cynthia Dawn Morris, 51, of Independence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 23, 2026. The daughter of Pamela {Harmon} Morris and Jerry Morris, Cindy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 20, 1975. Cindy graduated from Boone County High School in 1996. She was truly loved by everyone she met and had a special way of making people feel welcome and cared for. Cindy enjoyed socializing and was always there to support her friends and family, offering love and encouragement.

In her younger years, she enjoyed playing basketball, and throughout her life remained an avid UK Basketball fan. Cindy also loved running and was proud to be a part of the Special Olympics. She had a vibrant spirit and a great love for music. She enjoyed playing her harmonica as well as dancing to any beat or rhythm. Other pastimes of Cindy's include coloring, writing, and looking at family photographs.

Faith was very important to Cindy; she was a devoted member of Community Family Church for 45 years. Her relationship with God was a guiding force in the way she lived and loved others.

She will be deeply missed by her mother, Pamela Morris; her sister, Shelley (Dale) Callen; her niece, Samantha Grace Callen; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Morris; her paternal grandparents, Glad {Hughes} Martin and Harlan "Chick" Morris, Jr.; and her maternal grandparents, Sylvia Johnson-Harmon and Fred E. Harmon, Sr.

Cindy's visitation will be held between 3 PM and 5 PM with the funeral service to immediately follow at 5 PM on Saturday, March 28th at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051. Cindy will be laid to rest at Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, KY on Sunday, March 29th at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the Morris family appreciates any donations to offset Cindy's funeral expenses.
