Cynthia Dianne Parrish, born on November 11, 1962, was a beloved figure in her community. Tragically, she passed away on December 10, 2025, leaving behind a memory of love that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is remembered as a mother whose love for her children was a beaming light in their lives. They remember her not just for her nurturing spirit but also for her wonderful sense of humor. Her husband, Bobby Parrish, fondly reminisces about their long drives and afternoons spent geocaching, as the pair loved spending time together.
A true embodiment of kindness, Cynthia had an extraordinary ability to connect with others. She was, perhaps, the easiest person to talk to, always approachable and warm, making everyone feel valued. Her bubbly personality made her a magnetic presence, never seeming to meet a stranger but instead turning acquaintances into friends.
Cynthia's passion for music was a significant aspect of her life. Known for her angelic voice, she found joy in singing, which led her to meet Bobby through karaoke—an encounter that would spark a beautiful lifetime journey together. Her love for music was not just a hobby but an expression of her faith.
Cynthia’s devotion to her faith was evident through her many years of service as the church secretary and praise team leader, roles she embraced with enthusiasm. Her commitment to her church community was unparalleled; even as her health declined, she ensured that her duties were passed to her sister, Rhonda, continuing the cycle of service within her family.
The loss of Cynthia is felt profoundly by her family, which includes her husband, Bobby Parrish, and their children; Davin Johnson, Amber Parrish, Megan Parrish, and Brandon Parrish. Her grandchildren—Brady, Malakhi, Chloe, Aleah, and Aiden—who brought her immeasurable joy and laughter. Her father, Rodger Thaxton, and sister, Rhonda (Larry) Scruggs. Along with nieces and nephews Shannon Russell, Anthony Ward, Brandon Scruggs, and Tyler Scruggs, carry forward her spirit of kindness, humor, and compassion.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Thaxton, and her son, Phillip Williams. Their absence, too, reminds us of the connections and bonds we share, even in passing.
As we remember Cynthia Dianne Parrish, we celebrate the beautiful soul she was—a loving wife, an incredible mother, a cherished grandmother, a supportive sister, and a loyal friend. Her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
