Cynthia "Cindy" Parsons Oliver

Cynthia 'Cindy' Parsons Oliver, 64, of Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away on December 15, 2021 after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Cindy is predeceased by her father, William K. Parsons, Sr. and her precious dog, Scooterbug.
Cindy spent her younger years as a majorette and dancing. She and her brother coached her girls softball team at Bennett's Creek Little League.
Cindy was known for her cooking and enjoyed making cheesecakes. While living on the Outer Banks, she would make nautical wreaths and decorations that brought a smile to others. She adored the beach, spending the day in the sun, and found peace by the water.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and most recently great-grandmother, Cindy's family was the center of her world. She will be missed by many and was (and still is) Randy's "whole world".
Cindy is survived by the Love of her Life, Randy Oliver (husband), Joan Parsons Mayo (mother); Anne K. Oliver (mother-in-law); P. Diane Parsons (sister), Ken Parsons Jr. (brother), Don Oliver (wife Jennifer) (brother-in-law); Aimee Williams (James) and Heather Boyd (Kyo) (daughters); Buddy, Kaydence, Ryan, Taylor, and Tori (Taylor) (grandchildren); April and Bryson (great-grandchildren); many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at R.W. Baker Funeral Home, Northern Chapel at 5685 Lee Farm Lane on December 20, 2021 at 2pm with reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital at www.stjude.org
