Cynthia Matherne Sappington, born on January 25, 1953, a resident of Livingston, La, passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 72.
Cynthia loved crafting, painting and DIY Crafts. She was a caregiver for the Elderly and Disabled for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Olin J. Matherne, Sr. and Gladys Rita Schexnayder; siblings, Olin “Tootie” Matherne, Jr. and Farrell Matherne; her niece, Kaitlyn Aydell; and her children’s father, Ira Sappington, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Melancon, Sunny Stansell, Stevan Sappington, and Brett Sappington; 8 grandchildren; 3 great -grandchildren; and her siblings, Brenda Marino, Mona Matherne, Danette Carrier.
