Cynthia Croy "Cindy" Shrader

Cynthia "Cindy" Croy Shrader, age 66, of Blacksburg, Virginia died, Monday, December 15, 2025. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on August 25, 1959. Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda A Croy and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Janice Shrader.

She was a graduate of Radford University and a proud Highlander. She was a loyal fan of Virginia Tech Athletics. She worked for both Charles and Chris Turman at State Farm, Blacksburg for 21 years. She was a member at Centennial Christian Church and faithfully read her daily devotions.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Shrader; son and daughter-in-law, Kaleb and Rachel Shrader; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Christopher Cox; grandchildren, Alfie and Hattie Cox; father, William "Tiny" Croy; sister, Carolyn Croy; sister-in-law, Donna and John Anderson; nephew, Andrew Thomas; and nieces, Liza Thomas, Amanda Anderson, and Katelyn Yeary.

Funeral services will be conducted privately. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Arthritis Foundation.
