Cynthia Lee Wigley

Cynthia Lee Skinner Wigley, age 79, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday , March 24, 2026.

Cynthia was born in Rome, Georgia, on December 6, 1946, daughter of the late Olin Edward Skinner and Avanell Burton Skinner.

Cynthia graduated from East Rome High school class of 1965. She worked for Rome GI as a business manager with several years of service. Cynthia was a member of the Little Sand Mountain Baptist Church where she loved worshiping the Lord as well as listening to Gospel music, especially The Gaither's. She loved spending time with her family and was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was a Nannie to many and will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Grady James Wigley of 60 years; sons, Jeff Wigley (Leslie) and Mike Wigley; daughter, Stacey Akridge (Richard); stepson, Marc Holcomb; grandchildren, Brandon Wigley (Holly), Bethany Wigley, Alexis Russell (Calvin), Christian Hale (Kassidy), Chandler DeSanto, and Colton Wigley; sister, Nancy Abney (Dennis); great- grandchildren, Hank Russell, Preston, Hudson, and Kamryn Hale, Trenton and McKenzie Wigley, Katelyn Reeves, and Kaden Beavers; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1:00 until 2:45pm.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor Myles Phillips and Pastor Jeff Shaver officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
