Cynthia Lou Woodward, age 6, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
She was born on January 4, 1957, in Dover, New Jersey, the daughter of Robert Starling and Florence Boyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her two brothers, David Starling and Benny Carson.
Cindy spent her life caring for and loving others. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies with her whole heart. The love of her life for nearly 50 years, Ken, was her best friend and safe haven. Together they traveled the country with their three kids, making memories that have lasted a lifetime. They just celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this month, and over the course of their journey together, have created a beautiful life, not just for themselves, but one for their children, built on a foundation of unconditional and pure love. If you knew Cindy, you knew she was the beacon of light in the Woodward house, and never faltered or wavered from the strength she gave each of us and instilled in all of us daily. To say she will be missed is insufficient words but we know she is with all of us in each breath we take. Always.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ken Woodward of Glenwood; her son, Kenny Mark Woodward; her two daughters and their husbands, Valerie and Matthew Moses and Roxanne and Michael Sotomayor; her ten grandchildren, Taylor, Derek, Dylan, Michael, Caleb, Tysen, Elijah, Payton, Ava, and Raya; her brother, Bobby Starling; her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jerry Romero; and she had many loved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones she cherished deeply.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Rowe officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM prior to services in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood. Interment will be in the Restland Memorial Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Guest Registry can be found at www.smithfamilycares.com
