Cyrus was a life-long resident of Cherokee. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Local 320 for 25 years. Cyrus was a cattle farmer and a member of Oldham Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Meagan Cornelius; children, Sawyer and Carolyne Cornelius; parents, Doc and Joetta Cornelius; sisters, Amy Jo Patton (Michael) and Natalie Waldrep (Daniel); father and mother-in-law, Keith and Kim Bonds; brother-in-law, Levi Bonds; sister-in-law, Morgan Bonds; two nieces, Sophia Waldrep and Cora Bonds
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
