Cyrus Milton Fields, Jr., 76, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Celebration of Life will be at 4:00 P.M. at Mac Daddy’s. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Cyrus was born April 11, 1948, in Slaton, TX to Mary Ann (Schmidt) Fields, and Cyrus Milton Fields, Sr. 

He graduated from Amarillo High School. Cyrus worked many jobs in various industries. He operated heavy equipment, worked in the oilfields, the park service, and hazardous waste. He just never stopped working.

He was an Eagle Scout and Scout Master and enjoyed being outdoors. He had a huge heart and didn’t know a stranger. He was giving to a fault and helped so many in need.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Boatright and husband, Jay, of Lakeland, FL; sons, Christopher Fields, of Levelland, TX, and Cyrus Andrew Fields and Wilson Fields, both of Amarillo, TX; brothers, Harry B. Fields and wife, Phyllis, of Amarillo, TX, Dr. Hardy H. Fields and wife Dawn, and Dr. Arthur W. Fields and wife Amy, all of Dallas, TX; and two grandchildren, Grace and Emma Boatright.
