Cywilla Carol Crumpton, 85 of Cullman, AL, passed on November 4, 2025. She enjoyed meeting new friends while on her cherished camping trips. She loved tending to flowers. She kept children in her home so that she could be home with her three boys and also served as a substitute teacher.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lula Beam; husband, Billy Ray Crumpton; and siblings, Corrine Patterson, Gladys McClendon, Robert Byron Beam and Ruth Brown.
Carol is survived by her son, Michael A. Shivers, Richard B. Shivers (Julie) and Lance E. Shivers (Starla); step-daughter, Sherri Crumpton Herbowy; grandchildren, Ashley Maheu (Zach), Matthew Shivers, Austin Shivers, Hannah Shivers and Dustin Shivers; and one great grandson, Knox Shivers; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2025 at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the start of service. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon in the chapel with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Childhood Cancer Research (curechildhoodcancer.org) or Westminster-Cullman Assisted Living (1020 Olive Street SW, Cullman, AL 35055 Atten: Wanda Raines), in Carol's name.
