D'Angelo Hakeem Thomas

D'Angelo Hakeem Thomas, 19 months old, of Lumberton, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 28, 2023. He was born September 7, 2021, the son of Kahleil Thomas and Makeda Kelly.
D'Angelo was preceded in death by his great grandmother Yvonne Thomas, grandfather Ronald Kelly, and one uncle Jalen Kelly. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Makeda Kelly and Kahleil Thomas of the home, paternal grandfather Jeremiah McCray, paternal grandmother Mary Tucker, maternal grandmother Yvette Morris, paternal grandfather Tarrice Thomas Sr., brother Zy'aire Thomas, uncles Jaquan Kelly, Joshua Kelly, Marqui McCray, and Tarrice Thomas, and two aunts Kamiah McCray and Jakirah McCray.
D'Angelo brought much joy and happiness from the first time they saw his little face. He was a happy baby with a sweet disposition. He loved to have his head rubbed and kick his feet. However, he did not like them tickled. D'Angelo enjoyed watching Boss Baby, listening to music and being at the beach. He loved his nurses, Brooke Johnson and Blondell Smith. Although his time here was short, D'Angelo brought a little taste of heaven down to earth. His family will forever cherish his little life and look forward to their meeting him again one day.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am on Friday, May 5, 2023 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am with the Reverend Lewis Robinson officiating.
