D'Brianne Panigeo Friemering, 1957-2025
D'Brianne Friemering, beloved mother to Joshua Gilmore and Luke Gilmore, passed away in Anchorage, Alaska on June 16, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.
She was born Donna Friemering in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1957 to Dale Friemering and Frances Panigeo Friemering and later adopted by Donn and Thelma Baker. The Bakers changed her name to Debbie and later D'Brianne abbreviated her name to honor her adoptive mother's maiden name, O' Brien and her birth mother's last name, Panigeo. She liked to say that she was born in Alaska before it was a state.
D'Brianne attended schools in Alaska before her family moved to California where she graduated high school at 17 and later attended Bible college. D'Brianne held a variety of jobs over her lifetime from delivering newspapers to working for the State of Alaska in administrative roles. She enjoyed sewing, watching BBC and cooking. D'Brianne loved to collect recipes of all kinds and cookbooks. She liked to say that she was rooted and grounded in her faith. Her infectious laugh and smile will be missed dearly.
D'Brianne was at times mistaken in looks for her sisters and took it in stride and good humor. She enjoyed that connection with her family. Her sister, Donna, had this to say about D'Brianne; She was a loving little sister. She was funny and a tease. We had so much fun in Alaska growing up. She was so beautiful and meaningful to everyone who knew her and I will miss her so much. Love you, little sis.
D'Brianne is preceded in death by her parents, Dale Friemering, Frances Friemering, Donn Baker, Thelma Baker, her brothers, Daniel Baker, Donn Brian Baker, Samuel Friemering, and sister, Evelyn Friemering.
D'Brianne is survived by her children Joshua Gilmore and his wife, Apryl Richardson, Luke Gilmore; grandchildren, Evelyn, Ezra, Josiah, Anna and siblings, Coral (Lance) Willard, Donna (Rick) Barnhard, John (Hong) Friemering, Cora (Joe) Hart, Peggy (Ben, Sr.) Frankson, Ruth (Herman) Black, Elizabeth Wright, Karen (Donovan) Fairbanks, David (Kimberly) Dennis, Benjamin Hart, Tecumseh(Stephanie) Fredenberg, Robert Friemering and Jacqueline (Jason) Netherton and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews and importantly by her lifelong friend, Debbie Burchell.
A service will be held at a later date in July, 2025 at a location to be determined.
