Please celebrate Dagmar's life with us on this dedicated webpage. Your condolences, stories, videos and pictures will be cherished by the family and will provide comfort during this difficult time.
Dagmar was deeply beloved by her wife, Lorraine, her family, and the many communities to which she contributed her talents. She was an enthusiastic maker of fabric and yarn arts, a singer, a costumer, a painter and musician, a gardener who loved a bright garden, a lover of the natural world, an athlete who swam, biked, and ran because it brought joy; a dedicated traveller. So many of us know her as a superb storyteller. She was a chemist and a wordsmith and an extraordinary wrangler of computer data. These are the things she did, but in herself, she was a deeply loving, loyal, generous, and ethical person, who avidly embraced life. She loved her family and friends deeply and wholeheartedly. Everything she did was with and in joy. Dagmar just recently became a U.S. citizen and voted in her first election to protect the rights of women and the vulnerable, especially the LGBTQIA+ community.
She is survived by her wife Lorraine, her mother Karin, and her sister Astrid and all her family on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
She was the best wife ever and will be deeply missed.
