Mrs. Daisy Pernice Arnold, born Daisy Pernice Peterson, was born on April 13, 1926, in Alcolu, South Carolina, to the late Mrs. Willie Bessie Peterson and Mr. Robert Peterson.

Mrs. Daisy was a faithful and devoted member of Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she served the Lord and her church family throughout her life.

In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Sam Arnold, Sr. Their loving union endured until his passing in 1994. From this marriage, they were blessed with one son, the late Mr. Sam Arnold, Jr.

Mrs. Daisy was an accomplished businesswoman and a respected member of her community. Alongside her husband, she successfully owned and operated three businesses: the Manhattan Inn, a 30-room hotel in Atlantic Beach; the Topper Club, a pool and food hall in Myrtle Beach; and the Harlem Beer Garden, a bar and pool hall. Following her husband's death, she continued to manage these businesses independently with strength, determination, and excellence.

She was an esteemed member of Oceanside Chapter No. 163, Order of the Eastern Star, and devoted her life to the service of the organization.

Mrs. Daisy was a loving grandmother to two grandsons, the late Dr. Rodney Irvin Arnold and Mr. Nicklous Jermaine Arnold, and a cherished great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren. Dr. Rodney Arnold was the father of four children: Ashley Arnold, Drayton Arnold, Lauren Arnold, and Kaden Arnold. Mr. Nicklous Jermaine Arnold was the father of six children: Jermaisha Arnold, Jelicia Edwards, Ni'Angel Edwards, Javon Arnold, Em'Montae Arnold, and Naima Arnold, step-daughter, Annette Burney, and step grandchildren, Andrew "Cliff" Burney and Belinda Burney.

One of twelve children born to Mrs. Willie Bessie Peterson and Mr. Robert Peterson, Mrs. Daisy leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Mary Lou Hickman (Alcolu, SC) and her brothers, Hiawatha Peterson (New York, NY) and Roosevelt Peterson (Norwalk, CT). She also leaves behind a special niece, Ivory Knox, along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Sending condolences and prayers to the Arnold Family. I remember the stories my mom Jeanette McFadden would tell me about the fun times she spent down on Atlantic Beach in her younger years. May my cousin Daisy rip.
