Daisy "Jackie" Griner left this early home for her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

She was born in Walthourville, Ga., on August 12, 1938 to Gertrude and Benny Jacobs. She attended high schools in Liberty County.

She married her first husband, Tommy Sheley in 1955. Together they shared 3 daughters, Cindy, Jan, and Laurie. Tommy was in the US Navy, so was away from home and his family for a great period of time. Jackie raised her girls with much love, discipline and praise. She instilled in them the values she lived by. Always see the good in everyone, treat people with kindness, love and take care of your family.

Jackie was owner and operator of Gene's Sandwich Shop in the 1970s. She also had a catering business that everyone raved about. Jackie was a lifetime member of DeRenne Ave Church of God. And was a very active member. She loved her church and church family, and she loved Jesus. Jackie was a camp counselor for the youth at the Church of God summer camps. Lots of fun stories from her young campers.

In her later years, she lived at Bryan County Health and Rehab, where she then became known as Daisy. She carried her colorful, witty and vibrant personality with her. She loved everyone there and was loved by everyone there.

Jackie is predeceased by her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, her husband Andrew "Buddy" Griner. She lived through the heartbreak of burying 2 of her beautiful daughters, Jan and Laurie.

She leaves behind to cherish and miss her love and laughter, daughter, Cindy. Granddaughter, Ashleigh Lambros and grandsons, Thomas Lambros and Danny "Rock" Colson, (Jessica), Trey Lanier, (Ashley), Shane Nelson, Asa Nelson, and granddaughter, Jacquelyn Hatmaker, (Wesley), 10 great grandchildren. Sister, Peggy Graham, brother, Kenneth Jacobs, (Cindy), 15 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews.

Her family will be receiving friends between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Families First Funeral Care & Cremation Center, 1328 Dean Forest Road, Savannah, Georgia 31405.
