Daisy M. Huggins (nee Maple) passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at the age of 80.
Daisy is survived by her sons, Ellison Jr (Bridget), and Dwayne (Nicole), her grandchildren, Maurice, Julian, Daniel, Alyssa, Israel, Jaden, Nicolas, Milon, Brazil, Andre, Xyann and her great-grandchildren, Aniya, Avé Maria, Xavier, Jeremiah and Josiah.
She is predeceased by her husband Ellison Huggins Sr. and her daughter Sonya Huggins.
Daisy was a talented hairdresser and entrepreneur. She owned her own successful hair salon called Glamorama Hair Studio for many years. She was also a certified cosmetology teacher and enjoyed teaching the craft that she loved so much.
In her later years, she enjoyed spending time at the Northeast Senior Center, where she would play bingo, line dance, and chat with friends. When she finally moved to Wesley Enhanced Living, all of the residents and staff immediately loved Daisy. Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh brought joy and light to everyone she met. She enjoyed crafts, bingo, and getting her nails done.
Daisy was a devout Christian and lover of Jesus. In His perfect time, He peacefully called her home to heaven, where she now rests in His eternal embrace. Family and friends are invited to Daisy's Life Celebration on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 9:00am until her funeral service at 10:00am, at the Geitner-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 6230 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19120. Interment will immediately follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery.
