Daisy May Kershaw

Daisy M. Kershaw departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 14, 2025. She was born to the late Lee Grant Neal and Pearl (Ashford) Neal on August 24, 1941 in Ridgeway, SC. She was educated in the Fairfield County Public Schools in Fairfield, SC. Daisy worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington, CT for many years before she became an entrepreneur in the field of cosmetology. She also worked for the State of CT at Southbury Training School in Southbury, CT. Family was most important to Daisy. She looked forward to family dinners, reunions and other family gatherings. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, and most of all shopping. Daisy was a member of The Way of the Cross Church in Hartford, CT and attended The Anointed Tabernacle of Jesus Christ in East Hartford, CT. Those left to cherish her memory includes her five children, Ferris, Cynthia, Michael (Terry), Garry, and Thelma (Reneá); her sister, Lucille Shockley of New Britain, CT; her brother, Preston Neal of Bloomfield, CT; her three grandsons, Ryan, Jarrell, and Antonio who resided with her; as well as a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Daisy is predeceased by her husband, Mack Kershaw, her daughter, Carol Kershaw, and a special grandson, Brandon Kershaw. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. A calling hour will be on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in her name (stjude.org/wemissyou).
