Daisy Martinez

Carmen Martinez, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. She was 81 years old. Carmen was a resident of Manteca for the past 26 years.

Carmen is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Martin Martinez, Sr., and her children Terry Ramirez, Manuel Martinez, and Esther Astorga. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and over 60 great-grandchildren, each one holding a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her siblings Wilson Velasquez, Jr. Velasquez, and Joanne Velasquez.

She is preceded in death by her sons Martin Martinez, Jr. and Juan Martinez, and by her siblings Hilda, Maria, Melvin, Richard, Danny, and Eddie.

For more than eight years, Carmen worked as a cook at Livermore Lab, where she was cherished for her dedication and warm spirit. She was a woman of deep faith who attended St. Anthony's Catholic Church when she was able.

Carmen enjoyed the simple joys that brought people together; bingo nights, camping trips, and visiting casinos. She loved to travel, especially to Texas and Puerto Rico, and she carried immense pride in her Puerto Rican heritage.

Those who knew Carmen will remember her heart of gold. She was always there for others, never afraid to speak her mind, yet always doing so with love and the best of intentions. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
