Obituary
Daisy Irene Norman, affectionately known as Miss Daisy to the community and Aunt Daisy to most of her family, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023, at her home on Blount Street. She was born on January 7, 1957, in Tattnall County, where she spent her entire life. Daisy was a devoted member of the Reidsville Church of God. Daisy was a woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She had an infectious spirit and always up for an adventure. Her love for fishing and swimming was unparalleled, and she cherished every moment she spent doing these activities. Daisy's family was her pride and joy, and she made it a priority to spend as much time with them as possible. She had a sweet tooth like no other, with a particular fondness for "tandy n toffee" (as she always referred to it). Candy, sweets, and coffee were her guilty pleasures. Daisy also had a deep appreciation for food, especially breakfast and traditional country dishes. Sharing a meal with her family and friends brought her boundless joy.
Children held a special place in Daisy's heart, and she thoroughly enjoyed spoiling them. Whenever she entered a store, she couldn't resist engaging with every baby she encountered. Daisy was a strong believer in the power of prayer and frequently asked everyone to pray for her family. She would proudly show off the jewelry Tony had gifted her, lighting up over the love and thoughtfulness behind each piece.
Daisy had a humorous personality that was infectious. From the passenger seat on family outings, she would tell jokes and do her best to make everyone laugh. Daisy had a knack for lifting spirits and leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to cross her path. Her genuine warmth and loving spirit made her an irreplaceable presence in the lives of others.
Daisy had overcome many challenges throughout her life, including struggles with drug use. She was immensely proud of her journey to recovery and appreciated the blessings life had bestowed upon her. Yet, her greatest blessings were the deep connections she had formed with her family and friends within the community. Daisy's unwavering gratitude for their love and support knew no bounds. Daisy brought joy wherever she went and radiated happiness through her love of life; she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her niece, Elizabeth Lopez, and her nephew, Christopher Howard-Duran, as well as her great-niece, Mayla Proman.
