Mr. Dale E. Allen, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Dale’s family will receive visitors at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 2:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Funeral services will be held at the Millington Church of God at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024; visitation at church begins at 9:00 AM and will last until the time of service. Pastor JJ Perry will officiate. Following, Dale will be laid to rest in Millington Township Cemetery.
Dale was born on February 27, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, to Robert & Esther Allen (née Starr). On January 24, 1976, Dale wed the love-of-his-life, Brenda Corlew. Together they raised their children, shared countless memories, and celebrated 48 years of marriage. Dale worked with the Genesee County Road Commission as a heavy equipment operator for 25 years before his retirement in 1993. Afterwards, Dale’s passion for farming led him to work with Burns Poultry Farm, the Millington Elevator, and Johnson Farms. Above all, Dale loved his family, and the time he spent with them. Dale proudly wore the title of “Granddad” as he never missed a grandchild’s activity or event and was their biggest supporter. He will be remembered as a caring, dedicated, and hardworking man…and for his love of Pepsi!
He is forever loved by his beloved wife, Brenda Allen; children, Daniell (Joe) Perroud, Christy (Clint) Brugger, and Dale (Nicole) Allen; grandchildren: Jace, Logan, Dawson, Delanie, Addyson, and Sloane; sister-in-law, Kaye; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Esther, and siblings, Sandra, Melvin, and Charles.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Bobby Cerasoli Spreading Hope Foundation.
