Dale Backus

Dale Backus, age 69 – loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother as well as an attentive aunt, great-aunt, and friend passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Dale was born in South Bend, IN on February 11, 1953, to the late Pat & Edna (Branstetter) Hill. She is survived by her son, Richard Allen Jr (Nicole) McKee; grandchildren, Kayla Marie, Richard Allen III, Shawn Allen, and Shanna Rene McKee; great grandchildren, Landon Jacob and William Cyril; and a brother, Raymond Hill.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Brenda Miller.
Dale enjoyed her family and was always very proud of their accomplishments. She was a resident at AHEPA Senior Living, where she was the "doer" of the bunch. She was loved immensely by her family & friends for her kind heart of service. She was always eager to help whenever she saw someone in need. She loved her puppy, Maggie and the two of them were responsible for many smiles and much love that they exuded each day to anyone they encountered. Her light and her love will be missed my so many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
