Dale was born in
Flint, MI on January 6, 1947, son of the late Earl and Lois (Humphrey) Bacon. He was a graduate of Beecher High School Class of 1965. Dale continued his education at Mott Community College, earning an associate degree in electrical engineering in 1967-an accomplishment that set the foundation for a long and dedicated career. On November 12, 1966, Dale married the love of his life, Nancy Mizell in
Flint, Michigan. Their marriage of many decades was filled with unwavering partnership, laughter, and a deep, enduring love. Together, they built a family and a life rich with memories. Dale retired from General Motors Cadillac Grand Blanc after 36½ years of loyal service, where he worked in robotics and WEMR. He was a proud member of UAW Local 1292 and cherished the friendships and camaraderie formed throughout his career. Outside of work, Dale found joy in the simple, meaningful moments-especially those spent outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his grandchildren, and pheasant hunting with his beloved dogs. Summers at the family cabin in Hillman, Michigan were among his happiest times, a place where he felt most at peace and where countless memories were made. Above all, Dale loved his family with his whole heart. He was a steady presence, a source of strength, and a man whose kindness and devotion will continue to guide the lives of those who knew him. Dale's life was one lived with purpose, love, and quiet generosity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
