Dale Everett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care - Peters Township on Mar. 9, 2026.
Dale Decato Everett, 81, of McMurray, PA, formerly of Emerald Isle, NC passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on March 5, 2026. Born on November 19, 1944, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, she is the daughter of the late William Ernest And Sara Leona Decato.

Loving mother to Deanna (Ken) Machesky; Beloved Grandma to Easton and Finley Machesky; Sister to Richie Gragg; Aunt Daphne to Kimberly (Jim) Lipsette; Great-aunt Daphne to Addison (Jasmine) Steed and Nicholas Lipsette; She is also survived by many extended family members.

Known for her welcoming hugs, Dale had a special way of making everyone feel loved and at home. She found happiness in gardening, caring for plants and animals, sewing, shopping, and working on home renovation projects. Dale loved cooking and entertaining, especially gathering family and friends at the beach and serving her well-loved cheese biscuits.

Family was the center of Dale's life, and she rarely missed an opportunity to support them at their events and milestones. Whether at the ice rink, the stage, or out on the field, she was always in the front row cheering them on. Her constant support and encouragement showed just how deeply she cared about being there for every moment.

Dale's dedication as a medical assisting program director showed in the passion and care she brought to teaching her students every day. She didn't just teach the skills of healthcare-she inspired future medical assistants with her compassion, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to their success. In her work as a hospice nurse, Dale built meaningful connections with her patients and their families, offering compassion, comfort, and dignity.

Dale's faith was an important part of her life, and she was active in her church and loved music. She will be dearly missed. A celebration of Dale's life will be held in North Carolina at a later date.
