Dale Harlan Lambert was born on April 27, 1939, to Harlan and Dorothy (Rudebusch) Lambert at the family home in Tyler, Minnesota. While growing up, Dale was baptized and later confirmed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Benton, Minnesota. His faith in his Lord began at an early age. Dale attended school in Verdi, Minnesota, graduating in May of 1957. Shortly after his graduation, Dale was united in marriage to the love of his life, Arlene Petersen, on November 12, 1960, at the St. James Lutheran Church in Holland, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with the birth of their three children, Brenda, Doreen, and Craig. Dale worked hard in his life as a farmer, tending to his fields diligently and pouring his heart and soul into his work. He retired from farming in 2007.
Dale was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Benton. He enjoyed growing in his faith and deepening his love for his Lord. Dale enjoyed bowling with friends, snowmobiling in Wisconsin, playing cards and watching football and baseball. He also enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show and spending time with his cat and beloved dog. Above all, Dale loved to spend time with his grandchildren, especially riding bike with them. Dale passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society - Sioux Falls Village in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 86 years, five months and 12 days.
Dale is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Arlene Lambert of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; his daughters, Brenda (Mark) Schwing of Carson, North Dakota and Doreen (Dave) Kallemeyn of Holland, Minnesota; grandchildren, Heather Stashi, Stacy Hoffman, Kyle Schwing, Kendra Schwing, Sarah (Brandon) Pope, Wade Kallemeyn, Troy (Maddie) Kallemeyn and April (Dylan) Manas; great-grandchildren, Miranda Gardner, Swaydin Lemaster, Traylee Lemaster, Remi, Oakley, Cambree Hoffman, Everett, Mason Schwing, Kian Pope, Taton Koopman, Gavon, Nevaeh, Jackson Pope, Petra, Saydee, Jade Kallemeyn, London, Lucus, Charlotte Kallemeyn, Channing and Cash Manas; siblings, Heather (Randy) of Amarillo, Texas, Stacy (Steven) of Lemmon, South Dakota, Kyle (Stacy) of Mandan, North Dakota and Kendra (Chance) of Carson, North Dakota. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Dorothy Lambert; his son, Craig Dale Lambert and; his great grandchildren, George, and Garrett Pope.
