Dale C. Lawless

Dale Clark Lawless, age 80, passed away on August 7, 2025 at his home in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on February 12, 1945, in Fort Smith to Francis "Jack" and Lucy R. (Harris) Lawless.

Dale was a proud graduate of Northside High School. Once he graduated, he spent time living in Phoenix, Arizona before returning to Fort Smith and continuing his education at the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith, where he earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science and Machine Tool Technology.

Over the years, Dale built a life full of hard work and meaningful connections, including three marriages, Judy (Davis) Lawless, Roseann (Marshall) Lawless, and Lillian Lawless. Throughout his career, he held a variety of jobs, including driving for O'Reilly's, working as a machine technician, and serving as a printing press operator.

Dale's greatest passion, however, was his motorcycles. He loved the open road and the camaraderie of the riding community, especially through his involvement with the HOG Club, where he often joined rides and local events. In quieter moments, Dale enjoyed reading and writing, whether crafting poetry or penning song lyrics. He was an enthusiastic fan of science fiction and movies starring Dwayne Johnson.

A lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, Dale could often be found spending his evenings at the post, sharing stories and fellowship. He also enjoyed visiting local favorites like Benson's Grill and Waffle House.

Dale is survived by his three loving children, David "JD" Lawless and spouse Shenna, Robbie Lawless and spouse Susan, Tomiko Lawless and spouse Sami Khogyani; his six grandchildren, Jaimie, David, Brielle, Colston, Nikita, Lexus; six great-grandchildren, Mason, Hazel, Vincent, Miles, Anna, Isaac; as well as three nieces, Leticia, Amanda, and Sara.

Dale is preceded in passing by his beloved parents, Francis "Jack" and Lucy R. (Harris) Lawless; and his brother Perry Lawless and his wife Nancy.

There will be a celebration of life held at 11:00am on August 16, 2025 at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
