A visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Dale was born in Groom, Texas on October 7, 1955 and made Tulia his home after moving there in 1971. A true cowboy and outdoorsman, Dale began his lifelong working journey as a young boy. In the late 1970’s he went to work with John Herring, where he spent nearly two decades doing what he loved most—working with horses, cattle, and the land. In 1994, he transitioned to the City of Tulia Street Department, where he proudly served his community for 26 years until his retirement in 2020. Dale was happiest under an open sky, whether he was farming, riding, or simply spending time outdoors. His steady presence, strong work ethic, and genuine heart made him a man respected by many and cherished by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Debbie Lemons; his children, Troy and Monica Lemons of Melissa Tx; Leanna Lemons of Tulia, Tx; his brother Allen and wife Sharon Lemons of Seagraves, Tx and his grandchildren, Aivry, Price, and Mattie Lemons, who brought him endless joy. Dale will be deeply missed and remembered fondly for his cowboy spirit, his devotion to family, and a lifetime of hard, honest work.
Memorials may be made to the Swisher Memorial Hospital Foundation, 539 SE 2nd Street, Tulia, TX 79088.
