Dale G. Olson

Dale Gordon Olson, 90, passed away January 25, 2026. He was born April 13, 1935 son of the late Truman and Mabel Olson.
Mr. Olson, was an Industrial Arts Teacher in the East Aurora District 131 and retired in 1992. Dale was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church as well as Turners, Phoenix and Retired Teachers organizations.
Dale is survived by his children, Nancy (Stacy), Mark (Haley) and Maggie; grandchildren, Emily (Geoff), Benjamin, Kathryn and Lauren; friend, Judy; sister, Ruth Ann; sister-in-law, Joanne as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alyce (Conahan) Olson; brother, Doyle; brother-in-law, Maynard.
Until recently, Dale always had a project going. Whether working in his yard, building or repairing something, or going to estate sales to look for treasures to round out his collections. He and Judy were avid bridge players and they attended Paramount shows, visited casinos, and rooted for the Bears and Cubs.
Dale enjoyed hosting gatherings of any size at his home. Holidays and especially Christmas with his family were most memorable.
Time at the cabin in Northern Wisconsin, being at the lake, visiting with friends and family as well as a multitude of projects kept Dale busy all year long. He will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 3 PM - 6 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 801 Oak Street, North Aurora, IL 60542.
Memorials may be made in Dale's name to the American Cancer Society, Callie Rohr Foundation or a charity of your choice.
