Dale Richard Pepple, 78, passed away July 25, 2025, peacefully at his home in Union Mills, NC. A small private ceremony to celebrate Dale's life was held at Crowe's Mortuary.
Dale was born at home in Snake Spring Township, Bedford County, PA, a son of the late S. Dale Pepple and Lena (Smith) Pepple. He graduated from Everett High School in 1964 and Williamsport Area Community College in 1967 with a degree in Heavy Construction. Dale married Nancy (Cogan) Pepple September 9, 1967. He served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970. He worked as a project manager for S. J. Groves & Sons Company, owned a business, Dick's Radiator Repair, was a manager at P Stone Inc. and worked at the Oyster Creek Golf Course.
Known as either Dale or Dick to his friends, Dale loved hunting, fishing and simply watching the deer and woods from his back deck, either in PA or NC. He also loved working on and maintaining cars, with a special fondness for Corvettes, owning a few throughout his life. Above all, Dale loved his friends and family, especially his three grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife and son, Tracy, married to Tonya, grandchildren Emily, Jacob, and Olivia, siblings Linda Brallier and Shelvy Woy married to Victor. Along with his parents, Dale was preceded in death by son Todd and siblings Marcie Norris, Donald Pepple, Joanne Mellot, Robert Dean Pepple, Darrell E. Pepple, and John William Pepple.
Dale was a proud American and U.S. Army veteran, so the family requests donations be made to the Veterans Association in lieu of flowers.
