Patricia "Patsy" Jones

On October 14, 2025; Patsy Owens Jones entered into the arms of our Lord. Mrs. Jones was born on July 29, 1934 and was a native of Rutherford County. She was married to the late Bob Jones of Rutherfordton and they were blessed with two wonderful children, Alana and Alan, who surely met their mother at heaven's gate when the family was reunited in the presence of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Garland Jones of Forest City and his wife Creola, and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jones worked with the Rutherford County Schools, where she invested her life in making a difference in the young children of our county. She left a profound impression upon the lives of so many students in our community. They made their home here in Rutherfordton and led happy and productive lives where they were loved by all that knew them.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Rutherfordton, where she and her family faithfully served, worshipped, and invested their talents and time. They were more than just residents of Rutherford County. Their family made this place better for all.
A graveside service for Mrs. Jones is scheduled for Thursday October 16, 2025 11am at Brittain Presbyterian Church of Rutherfordton with Rev. Lisa Courtney, and Rev. Scott Courtney officiating.
