Dale Wagner Obituary

Dale Wagner

December 29, 1967 - November 4, 2025

WAYNESBORO – Dale Newton Wagner, 57, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Dale was born in Waynesboro on December 29, 1967 and was the son of Martha Phyllis (Clark) Wagner and the late Ronald Dale Wagner.

Dale was a graduate of Rockbridge County High School. He worked in partnership with his father in operating Wagner Refrigeration, and eventually took the business over when Ron passed. Dale was a spiritual man and found strength through his love for Jesus. Dale was an outdoor enthusiast - he enjoyed kayaking, fishing, camping, and cycling. He also loved to read, and enjoyed playing his guitar every morning. He was proud of his Monacan Indian heritage and recently attained official membership into the Monacan tribe.

He was preceded in death by his father and by his sister, Christie Wagner. He is survived by his mother; three children, Ryan Newton Wagner, Rachel Nicole Wagner (Natasia Reinhardt), and Valerie Joe Wagner; stepson Andrew Cook (Kailee Urban); grandchildren Levi and Rylin Wagner; and step grandchild Tallulah Cook.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday (November 12th) in the chapel of Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Hunter Phillips.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Condolences may be expressed to the family online at bearfuneralhome.com.
