Dale Wert Obituary
Dale E. Wert, 68, of Goshen died Thursday, November 20, 2025 as the result of an auto accident.
He was born April 3, 1957 in Columbia City to Norman E. and Cora E. (Miller) Wert.
On June 29, 1985 he married Terry Potter in Goshen.
She survives along with five siblings, Bev (Kenneth) Shelton of Ravenden, Arkansas, Dawn (John) Marsh, Sherry (Johnny) Brockelman and Paul (Kim) Wert all of Goshen; and Rex (Sue) Wert of Milford; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his mother and father in-law, John and Flora Mae Potter, and his sister Pamela Kiser.
Dale was an avid race car fan and driver, racing for over 17 years at New Paris Speedway, where he was a past track champion. When not racing he enjoyed watching other auto races, camping and singing karaoke;. his favorite song being “Brown Eyed Girl”
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November, 26, at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place after services.
