Dallas Dees, age 54 of Gatesville passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Private graveside services will be held at Mound Cemetery.
Dallas Morgan Dees was born June 18, 1970 to Maj. James Tyson Dees and Stella Sharp Nichols in Fort Benning, Georgia. He grew up and attended school in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1989. Continuing his education, Dallas attended Central Texas College before transferring to Texas A&M University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering in 2008. Dallas worked as a Project Manager for several Engineering firms in both Texas and Louisiana. He enjoyed playing rugby and played while attending college at Texas A&M, and continued his passion for the sport in Katy, Texas after graduation. He loved to scuba dive and collect guns. He also enjoyed mechanical engineering, building his own motorcycle from the ground up. Dallas had a special relationship with his niece and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them as well as his family.
Dallas was preceded in death by his father, Maj. James Tyson Dees. He is survived by his mother, Stella Nichols and husband, Flan; sister, Valerie Dees; brothers, Morgan Dees and Kim Dees; stepmother, Kyong Suk Dees; niece, Gracie Miller; nephews, Tyson Dees and Miles Dees; and aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
