Dallas Conrad "Tick" McKinley; aka "Tick City" 58 years of age, passed away on Thursday August 14, 2025 at MetroHealth Medical Center.
Dallas was born on December 23, 1966 to the late William Lee Mckinley and Etta Mae McKinley in Sandusky. Dallas attended Barker School under the guidance of Mary Churchwell, God ordained her as his Godmother, who picked him up and took him to school. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1986.
He was a Jack of all Trades and loved working and always stressed to his kids "if a man don't work, a man don't eat". He was previously employed at Routh Packing, AV Lake Metal, Private contractor, Landscaping just to name a few. He loved doing odd jobs within the community.
He loved action movies, especially Marvel, He loved to dance - and even had a dance group back in the day - and his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas rededicated his life to Christ and was Baptized on December 30, 2018 at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Sandusky, Ohio under the leadership of Pastor Joseph M.A. Strong.
Dallas leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife, Dawnisha whom he met in 2013 after being introduced to her by his niece, Mignon Collier; He was determined to have his "Shoobee Doobee" and the two were later married on July 15, 2023. He is also survived by his mother, Etta Mae McKinley; children, Dymon (Ranaldo) Haney, Alisha Brown, Brandon Burrage, Porcha McKinley, Daeveion Hall, Dion Hall, Derek Hansard; bonus children, Monchel Koonce, Alicia Johnson, Zayvier Dickerson, Jaylyne Dickerson; Miguel Brown and Cody McKinley (Brown); siblings, Thomas McNat, Jackie (Priscilla) McCray; Bruce (Angela) McCray, Robert McKinley, Gregory McKinley, Jeannette (Bob) Franks, Yolanda Henson, Tony Henson, Michael Henson, Herbert Henson Jr.; God Father, James McDonald; God Sister, Yolanda Churchwell; God Daughters, Serenity Davis and Albonnee Rash; God Son, Marcellus Young; grandchildren, Dar'Lazzia Brown, La'Varieasia Hills, Tamyia "Biscuit" Koonce, Vivionna "Butter" Johnson, Tamarious "Breaze" Parker, DeQuareyon Haney, Dymiir Haney, Rico Brown Jr, Ricajani Brown, Isiah Campuzano, Mia Burrage, Nylah Burrage, Lyric Barrage; great-grandchildren, Pierre Vallejo and Zaniya Haney; best friends/brothers, Paul Brown, Maurice (Katherine) Brown, Curt (Sherri the Governor) Lofties, Blake (Pari) Harris, and bonus brother, Guy Wayne; along with a host of nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends because "Uncle Tick" loved the kids.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Lee McKinley; stepmother, Linda McKinley; brother, Jasper McCray Jr; son; Rico Brown Sr.; sister; Danielle N. Churchwell Bell; aunt, Blanche Foster; bonus brother, Terry Nicholson, niece; Brandy McCray.
